Resolution No. 2015 -002 <br />2) <br />Recommended Action <br />Staff requests that the Board of the Tumwater Transportation Benefit <br />District (TBD) review and approve TBD Resolution No. 2015 -002 providing <br />for a ballot proposition to be submitted to the electors of the district on <br />April 28, 2015, to impose a 0.2% sales and use tax to fund the preservation <br />and restoration of City streets. <br />3) Background: <br />At the last TBD meeting, the TBD Board directed staff to prepare a <br />resolution that, if approved, would submit a ballot proposition to the voters to <br />impose a 0.2% sales and use tax to fund the preservation and restoration of <br />City streets. The proposition would appear on the ballot for the April 28, <br />2015 special election. <br />In order for the ballot measure to appear on the April 28, 2015 election date, <br />a resolution needs to be submitted to the County Auditor's office not later <br />than March 13, 2015. <br />4) Alternatives <br />❑ Postpone action to a later date. <br />❑ Modify the resolution. <br />❑ Don't approve the resolution. <br />5) Fiscal Notes <br />The estimated cost in participating in the April 28, 2015 special election is <br />between $15,000 and $30,000. <br />TBD SR 2015 -002 <br />
